so much fun!

So I was walking through the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis when I (a dentist) noticed a plant called a "toothache" plant. I researched and found out that buzz buttons are the blooms on the flower. They are edible! I brought these to my whole team and invited anyone to have one. First it tastes very earthy, followed immediately by intense citrus flavor that envelops your mouth in a tingly sensation. As the numbness dissipates it leaves the cheeks and lateral borders of the tongue numb for about 10-30minutes. It's an amazing fun flower. I think there may be some uses for this in dentistry!
